ICONIC PROPERTY OVERSEER for grazing enterprise. Located in Central West NSW!

Our client is a corporate company with diverse interests in the agricultural sector.  We are looking for an experienced Property Overseer for their iconic property in Bathurst (Central West NSW)

In this role the applicant will provide support and assistance to the Manager at the property, particularly in his absence.  You will be responsible for ensuring existing management plans are followed.

To be successful in this position you need to demonstrate a high degree of competency with livestock (sheep and cattle), a keen eye for detail and the utmost ability to maintain the property to the highest standards. 

Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

• To assist the Manager in the day to day operations of all enterprises which include prime lamb, cattle, vineyard, and wine.
• Supervise, organise and direct other staff and contractors in their duties
• To assist in all livestock husbandry duties
• Stock checks, particularly during calving and lambing and checking on feed and water supply
• Report to the manager any relevant occurrences
• Accurate stock counts
• To assist in the maintenance and repair of property, plant and equipment as required
• Operation of plant and equipment
• Following work practices for WHP/ESI and NLIS regulations
• Ensure OH& S practices are followed and animals are treated humanely
• Other duties as directed

An attractive package will be negotiated with the successful candidate including a comfortable house, all utilities (gas and electricity) & phone allowances and work vehicle included. At times you will be asked to perform duties outside your normal working hours.
