Recruiting an experienced Stud Overseer, with Merino Sheep Husbandry Skills

Our client, FS Falkiner & Sons have been at the forefront of the Australian wool industry for 150 years, operating well-known Waganella and Poll Boonoke Merino studs.  In this role you will work directly with the Stud Manager and the Boonoke Operations Manager to plan and implement the stock and work program for the FSF Stud operation.

You will be responsible for the supervision of stud sheep management and husbandry activities, in conjunction with the Stud Manager, to achieve high standard of production, stockmanship and workplace safety. The ability to supervise and monitor health, grazing/feeding and development of ram drop to ensure they achieve full potential with minimal losses is a must.

Requirements:

• Proficient sheep husbandry skills and demonstrated history of day to day experience in a Merino enterprise.
• General station skill base, i.e. fencing, general plant and equipment maintenance, etc.
• Working dogs.
• Driver's Licence, heavy vehicle preferred.
• Chemical Certification.
• Generally good natured, hard working character with strong stockman ship skills.
